  10.  I have an '87 Mercury Sable with a 3.0 litre engine with 83k miles.

  12.  When idling in gear, the rpm hunts up and down between 750 and 1000 rpm.
  13.  Unfortunately, with the AC on, it can dip down to 500 rpm which causes
  14.  the whole car to shudder.

  16.  I've tried removing the auxillary air inlet valve and cleaning it out but
  17.  it hasn't helped.  Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did 
  18.  you do to cure it?
