- This is very simple. It is a rubber flap that allows the oil to go one
- way through the filter and not the other. Most oil filters have this
- "feature" today. (Personally I haven't seen one without it yet)

- It is also easy to check if the (brand new and clean :) filter has this flap:
- Try to blow air through the filter. It should not work, but if you suck, it
- should work just fine. (Or was it the opposit? I can't quite remember)
