  12. Is there a cure for the dithering in the transmission
  13. of the Ford Taurus?

  15. My 1992 runs as well as can be expected, but it just is
  16. too eager to upshift to save gas; instead, on upgrades
  17. it shifts into third (I think it's third?) and expects
  18. the car to actually go somewhere, meanwhile the engine
  19. is pinging away under the load. A hack is to notch it
  20. into the "1" position momentarily then back to "D"
  21. and it takes the hint for a bit.

  23. I would be willing to void the warranty just to
  24. install a decent shift kit which would make this
  25. thing a little more intelligent, not to mention
  26. a lot longer lasting.
