  15. My roommate's Terrible Taurus had a Check Engine light problem, which
  16. also manifested itself as stumbling etc.  It turned out to be a
  17. worn-out throttle position sensor.  Check this if your Tempo has the
  18. EEC-IV engine computer (typically all fuel-injected Fords after '86?
  19. have it).
