- The starter on my 1987 Toyota MR2 went out a couple weeks back. So I
- decide, "hey this is a good time to pretend I know something about a car
- and fix it myself!" So I get a shop manual for it and it says to take of
- the lead and unscrew these two bolts and take the thing out. OK, no
- problem. Whoops! A problem. Can anybody describe to me WHERE the starter
- motor is on the MR2? I can't find it. Unfortunately I don't have adequate
- jacks for me to be able to work fully under the car yet so if it's really
- under there, I'm out of luck for now.
-
- Second question: Can anybody recommend a mechanic in the South SF Bay area
- to do this for me? I don't have a whole lot of cash but need to get it
- running.
-
- I knew I shouldn't have given up motorcycles!
-
- Thanks for any help to my stupid problem!
