  12. About a week ago I posted an article concerning my new Sony receiver's
  13. surround problem, a slight buzz coming from the rear speakers.  First of all,
  14. many thanks to those who responded with possible diagnoses.  I'm happy to say
  15. that I exchanged the unit for a new one, and the problem is gone, so it was
  16. just that one defective unit, not a design flaw on Sony's part.

  18. That said, I heartily recommend this unit.  120x2 w/ch or 75x3 w/ch front, 30
  19. w/ch rear, DSP, 20 soundfield settings, and a lot of other stuff.  If you're
  20. interested in this unit, you can buy it from Colonel Audio/Video in Texas for
  21. $405, the best price I have seen for this unit.  Very good service also.

  23. I also bought some Cambridge SoundWorks Ensemble II's, and like most people
  24. who have recommended this set on this newsgroup, IMO it's one of the best
  25. satellite/subwoofer speakers systems you can buy for the money.

  27. Last but not least, I got the Sony CDP-X229ES CD player from Kief's Audio in
  28. Lawrence, Kansas, for $310.  Again, excellent service and price, and the unit
  29. sounds great - it uses Sony's new 90MHz HDLC Converter, along with other
  30. things.

  32. Anyway, if anyone's interested in specs or recommendations, please let me
  33. know.  I'm a very satisfied customer of the above dealers, and nothing else.
