  13. I have this player,  and my longterm plans were to use it occasionally  
  14. as an LD player,  and often as a CD frontend to an external DAC.  
  15. The MDP-333 only has the Toslink connector,  and I see comments that
  16. Toslink is really a mid-fi connector - outdistanced by good coax or
  17. AT&T optical.  I even hear that Theta will csoon ome out with something 
  18. much better than AT&T optical.  Is there any technical merit to the
  19. damning of Toslink?  Has anyone truly heard and/or measured differences
  20. between it and the alternative?
