  27. I have Pohlman's Digital Audio book but not his new one on CD's.  I
  28. also have Watkinson's book.  The latter is (was) $49.95 list.   There
  29. is a world of difference.  If you really want to know, on the lowest
  30. level, Watkinson is the book.

  32. If you don't need that depth try Pohlman.  Or conversely.   If you read
  33. Pohlman, and want to know more get the Watkinson book.

  35. I have never found really great tech books priced cheaply.  I have
  36. found some overpriced books.   You really almost have to go to a store
  37. that handles them and look at them yourself.

  39. If you take Watkinon's book on digital and the Camras book "Magnetic
  40. Recoring" ($79) and read them both, you probably won't have any more
  41. questions.    And if you think ~$130 on a pair of books is expensive,
  42. it's cheaper than many other forms of education.
