  13. I am having a terrible time trying to print files on my laserwriter plus.

  15. notes:  I created the files using superpaint on my macintosh plus and on
  16. newer macs on campus.  I successfully printed the files on laserwriter plus
  17. printers on campus.  I recently bought a used laserwriter plus. It prints 
  18. text fine, graphics fine, but when text and graphics are mixed (as in my 
  19. files), it does one of the following:

  21. 1) nothing. Printer busy light flashes for a while, computer acts as if it
  22.     is working fine.  No errors, nothing. In an effort to see if the
  23.     printer was still working (after the busy light stopped blinking),
  24.     I (1) left it alone for 30 minutes (surely enough time), (2) tried
  25.     printing another document (expecting it so say it was busy with the
  26.     first) instead, the second (text only) document was printed.

  28. 2) Says stack underflow error, and returns control without printing a thing.

  30. 3) says "There as been an error with the postscript enhancement file. Your
  31.     file is okay, but cannot be printed"

  33. I'm using systems 6.whatever (my dealer said having the newest version of 6.x
  34. would fix my problems. (not!)  I think it has something to do with the
  35. driver software and superpaint not getting along.  It is quite a strange
  36. problem, as I can fill the screen with graphics, and it will print, but
  37. putting one letter (in text mode) into the file causes usually problem 1,
  38. but sometimes problem 3.
