  15.         ARF ON CLINTON/GORE, THE ISRAEL CONNECTION

  17.  As a lifetime naturalist and environmental activist, the 
  18.  idea of having a real environmentalist in the White House 
  19.  brings tears to my eyes.
  20.  
  21.  However, the more I learn about the candidates and the gang 
  22.  they will bring with them, the more I wonder just what 
  23.  really drives the program.  When one of this weekend's news 
  24.  shows named Steven Solarz as on the short list for Secretary 
  25.  of State, I stopped wondering.  It has become crystal clear 
  26.  that, whatever Clinton may believe or want, it is the 
  27.  Friends of Israel who are controlling this campaign and the 
  28.  only goal is to re-instate Israel's "special relationship" 
  29.  with the US.

  31.  When George Bush faced off with AIPAC (and won) over $10 
  32.  billion in aid to Israel, these people were outraged and 
  33.  vowed bitter vengence.  A simple analysis of all the bad 
  34.  news that has come out about Bush, will point to this news 
  35.  conference on Sept 12, 1991 as time zero.

  37.  The most recent canard the media is dragging out is the 
  38.  desertion of Bush by the so-called Neo-conservatives.  All 
  39.  these people, Richard Pearl, Jeane Kirkpatrick, Henry 
  40.  Kissinger, etc., are turning to Clinton in droves.  Why this 
  41.  should surprise anyone is just another example of how 
  42.  Israel-driven, US politics and policies really are.

  44.  The only issue that separates Neo-Cons from old line 
  45.  Conservatives is their blind and dogmatic devotion to 
  46.  Israel.  Reagan bought their program and was the best friend 
  47.  Israel ever had.  Bush feels otherwise and they are gone.  
  48.  Gone to whomever and whatever will keep the money flowing to 
  49.  Israel.

  51.  Lest there be any doubt where Clinton stands, in a June 30 
  52.  statement, he said:  "If I ever let Israel down, God would 
  53.  never forgive me."

  55.  I suspect that means he would sacrafice the environment 
  56.  rather than let Israel down too.

  58.  According to the Washington Jewish Week, "In eight years as 
  59.  a member of the House and seven years in the Senate, Gore 
  60.  has compiled one of the strongest pro-Israel records on the 
  61.  Hill.  He has a 100 percent record on foreign aid.  As a 
  62.  member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, he has been a 
  63.  champion of US-Israel strategic cooperation."

  65.  Clinton's all-out support of Israel and his selection of 
  66.  Gore is not a matter of chance.  Hardly a day passes without 
  67.  the name of another leading pro-Israel activist surfacing 
  68.  from Clinton's campaign inner circle.  Top adviser David 
  69.  Ifshin is general counsel to the American Israel Public 
  70.  Affaris committee (AIPAC), Israel's Washington lobby.

  72.  Mickey Kantor, who took over Ifshin's campaign chairman 
  73.  duties as the Clinton staff grew, has been active in Los 
  74.  Angeles fund-raising for Israeli causes and pro-Israel 
  75.  candidates.

  77.  The Washington Post revealed that Clinton's finance 
  78.  chairman, whose father is an Israeli, had been involved in 
  79.  an AIPAC coordinated campaign to bring in outside funds and 
  80.  student volunteers to defeat Congressman Paul Findley.

  82.  Another report revealed that Clinton's media adviser was 
  83.  born in Israel.

  85.  Sarah Ehrman, national Jewish coordinator of the Clinton 
  86.  campaign, is a family friend in whose Washington apartment 
  87.  Hillary Clinton stayed while working as an attorney during 
  88.  the Watergate hearings.  Ehrman, who drove Hillary to the 
  89.  Clintons' wedding in Fayeteville in 1974, also has been an 
  90.  employee in AIPAC's Washington headquarters for the past 12 
  91.  years.  She left AIPAC last month to join the Clinton staff.

  93.  I started out saying that Solarz was mentioned as a possible 
  94.  Secretary of State.  The real question is, what state?  Here 
  95.  is some background from Paul Findley's book, THEY DARE TO 
  96.  SPEAK OUT....

  98.  In his newsletter, Congressman Solarz said that he sought 
  99.  membership on the Foreign Affairs Committee "because I 
  100.  wanted to be in a position to be helpful to Israel.  As a 
  101.  result, Israel will soon be receiving a grand total of $660 
  102.  million MORE in military and economic aid than it received 
  103.  from the U S government last year."

  105.  Solarz's zeal was unabated in 1984 when, as a member of the 
  106.  House - Senate conference on Export Administration Act 
  107.  amendemnts, he demanded in a public meeting to know the 
  108.  legislation's implications for Israel.  He asked, "is there 
  109.  anything that the Israelis want from us or could conceivably 
  110.  want from us that they weren't able to get?... Have you 
  111.  spoken to the Israeli embassy?...  You are giving me an 
  112.  absolute assurance that they have no reservation at all 
  113.  about this?"  Finally convinced that Israel was content with 
  114.  the legislation, Solarz said:  "If they have no problem with 
  115.  it, then there is no reason for us to."

  117.  Not only is the Clinton/Gore choice for Secstate an obvious 
  118.  traitor to his country but he is a blatent crook.  He was 
  119.  near the top of the list of House check kiters, both in 
  120.  number of checks and total dollars.  Do we hear anything 
  121.  about his NY seat being in jeaporady?  Of course not, it is 
  122.  confortably in the control of AIPAC and the Friends of 
  123.  Israel, as is the entire state of NY.

  125.  Is it also a coincidence that NY has also furnished us with 
  126.  the Clinton/Gore/Israel ticket's first candidate for the 
  127.  Supreme Court?   Is not Mario Cuomo the best friend Israel 
  128.  ever had?

  130.  Sorry, fellow environmentalists, I will not entrust the 
  131.  environment or my country to an Administration controlled by 
  132.  Israel or any other country for that matter.
