- DBA is an abbreviation for "Doing Business As". As I understand it, it allows
- you to establish a name for yourself. You get one of these (at least in NY)
- at the county clerks office and it costs about $35. Your mileage may vary.

- You then take this down to the bank and open a checking account under the
- DBA name. It's all kinda silly, but it does lend some formality to what
- is coming down.
