  20. DBA is an abbreviation for "Doing Business As".  As I understand it, it allows
  21. you to establish a name for yourself.  You get one of these (at least in NY)
  22. at the county clerks office and it costs about $35.  Your mileage may vary.

  24. You then take this down to the bank and open a checking account under the
  25. DBA name.  It's all kinda silly, but it does lend some formality to what
  26. is coming down.
