- I have just finished compiling gcc 2.2.2.

- Upon using it to compile and link code that was previously compiled
- under 1.37.1, I get the following message after the link step:

- file path prefix 'static' never used

- What's the deal here? What does it mean? Is it a warning, or a fatal
- error message?

- Also, can anyone give me a reference to documentation describing how
- to get gnu emacs to load the gcc.info files?
