  13. I'm attempting to compile gcc-2.2.2 on an SGI Iris running under Irix 4.0.1.
  14. I configured it to 'mips-sgi-irix4' and used 'make CC=/usr/bin/gcc' where the
  15. old gcc version was 1.40. I got the error '/usr/bin/ld: Undefined: alloca'.
  16. I thought gcc took care of that problem on the Iris?
