- Hi
-
- A few questions relating to GNU Emacs 18.57:
-
- 1) How do I bind a function to my PgUp, PgDn, Home and End keys? I tried
- using the M-x global/local-set-key comand but when prompted to enter key to
- bind, none of the previously mentioned keys are recognized (no response - nothing).
- I'm not sure how to set it in my .emacs file either (don't know the octal values).
-
- 2) I would like to set up my emacs environment to prevent word wrapping but yet
- scoll the right margin as I type or move the cursor.
-
- 3) How do I set my environment to run the tcsh (my normal shell) upon the shell command?
- I "(setq shell-file-name "/usr/local/bin/tcsh")" in the .emacs file but whenever I M-x shell,
- the csh environment is executed instead.
-
- 4) Is there a FAQ posting available for this news group? Where?
