- I have seen at least 3 complaints here about bash's behavior with
- invisible character sequences. My prompt is underlined, and I have
- had similar problems. The complaints have been ongoing since bash
- version 1.05.

- I will incorporate this code into my version of bash, and I humbly
- request that the implementers of bash include it in their next release.
