- Let's assume, for a minute, that you're right and 95% of the
- people driving down the Toll Road are imagining some reason not to
- carpool. Does this imagined reasoning go away after sitting in
- traffic for a while? Or does the commuter end up on Route 7
- clogging up more an already clogged up road? If carpooling does
- not increase to the point where it makes up for the extra pollution
- generated on the Toll Road due to cars idling, etc. then it makes
- *no* difference. It is at best a bad idea with noble intentions
- which should be canned.
