  11. Let's suppose that I am an ISV producing a product which runs under X.
  12. I compile and link it using shared libraries in my X11R4p18
  13. environment under SunOS 4.1.1. I then ship it to a customer who is
  14. using SunOS 4.0.3, which contains shared libraries which are 1 or more
  15. revs earlier than what my application is expecting (resulting in some
  16. of the errors previously reported).

  18. How are the shared lib versions my applications expects supposed to
  19. sync with those on the target system? Do I have to link multiple
  20. versions for customers of various OS levels?
