- Let's suppose that I am an ISV producing a product which runs under X.
- I compile and link it using shared libraries in my X11R4p18
- environment under SunOS 4.1.1. I then ship it to a customer who is
- using SunOS 4.0.3, which contains shared libraries which are 1 or more
- revs earlier than what my application is expecting (resulting in some
- of the errors previously reported).
-
- How are the shared lib versions my applications expects supposed to
- sync with those on the target system? Do I have to link multiple
- versions for customers of various OS levels?
