  11. A while back I posted a question about a problem I was having with
  12. my new IPX in X.  The problem was that when I moved windows around
  13. under X with twm or mwm, their contents were not getting redrawn,
  14. both in opaque and transparent move.

  16. I got two replies.  The first suggested there was an X patch that
  17. I needed for the IPX display to work.  We got all the patches for
  18. X11R5 and recompiled (using gcc) and still had the problem.

  20. The other reply I received said he had experienced the same problem
  21. and recompiling with a higher revision of gcc solved the problem.
  22. (we were using gcc 1.4).  After recompiling with the Sun cc, the
  23. problem went away!  Things work fine now (so far :-)  We are going
  24. to try gcc 2.1 eventually.
