- Question:
-
- What's the best way to talk X (client <-> server) over the phone?
- I'm rather a novice.... I've heard of SLIP and PPP, though I
- don't know if they're in the public domain, require kernel
- reconfiguration, etc. I've also heard that an extended version
- of tip ('tipx', I think) supports SLIP.
-
- Can someone give me a brief summary of the options available
- and/or the easiest way to get up and running? (Or is it so slow
- that I shouldn't even bother?)
-
- Thanks.
