- Are any tools available for an OpenWindows environment that allow
- you to create Postscript outline fonts for printing and/or online
- display?
-
- Background:
- We have our own homegrown font with a number of special characters
- (ascii, greeks, subscripts, superscripts, etc.). We used xfed to
- create the bitmap font for screen display and the bdftops tool to
- create a bitmap postscript font for printing. The main problem is
- the the bitmap postscript font does not stack up in quality to
- an outline font. It would also be nice if we could create a scalable
- font for online display under OpenWindows.
-
- Any tips/hints/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
