  12. I have been using windows successfully for some time...
  13.  I upgraded to a 486 and all seemed well....
  14.  I then tried a new VGA card (and several more since) but am having 
  15. problems when going to the dos prompt (in 3.1). This is only a problem
  16. when I am logged on to the network and thus have less memory to deal with.
  17. (I still have over 530Kb)
  18. The problem/s is... no text displays in the dos prompt window or full screen.
  19.   or with another card... text in the windowed dos prompt but not when I 
  20.                           switch to full screen. 
  21.  or with an accelerator VGA card.. will not go into the dos prompt at all..
  22.    windows times out and tells me there's an error.. all other programs work 
  23.    well and do not cause problems.

  25. Does anyone have any clues as to whats going on??
  26. I have tried playing around with the dosprompt pif but cannot improve on the 
  27. above scenario.
