- I have a tape containing a XENIX backup of some important files.
- XENIX is no longer used at my department, and the campus computing
- consultant I talked to knew of no software to read the tape format,
- from say, a sun or vax/vms system. We could get XENIX running again
- on a spare AT I suppose, but since I am not knowledgable in XENIX
- operations this sounded like a real waste of time, at best.
-
- The tape is a 3M Data cartridge DC600A.
-
- Does anyone know of a program I can run on some OTHER system, that can
- restore the files. They are data, not executable, and I'm pretty sure
- that the binary format they are in is readable by software I have.
- But only after I get them off the tape.
-
- Thanks
