  20. Before jumping into this, let me state that about half of my clients have
  21. upgraded to Unix, and even that *most* of the remaining half will upgrade
  22. eventually.

  24. But, there are people who don't need no stinking Unix!

  26. Typically, this might be a company running 4-8 terminals, using RealWorld
  27. or perhaps some Filepro application they have been using for years.

  29. They probably have a 16 Mz 386 of late 80's vintage, and might only
  30. have 4 meg of memory.

  32. They don't use modems, they don't even use passwords, and they don't
  33. know squat about anything but running RealWorld or whatever.  They
  34. don't do System Administration; they pay me to relieve themselves of
  35. that burden.  Because Xenix is simple and pretty stable, we sometimes 
  36. can go along for even a few years without my gracing their establishment
  37. with my presence.

  39. There is no reason to complicate their lives and add to their costs
  40. (hardware, software, and most of all my support) by upgrading to
  41. Unix.
  42.  
  43. And that, Marc, *is* keeping the best interests of my customer in mind.
