  16. I've got some trouble with the DecNet/Ultrix package on a DEC Station
  17. 5000/133 running Ultrix 4.2a.

  19. My configuration:

  21. Computer 1:                     Computer 2:

  23. Dec Station 5000/133             VMS Vax
  24. Decnet Phase V Node             Phase IV Node (no, without Extension)
  25. DNS Server, DTS clerk            
  26. proxys disabled

  28. It is possible, to connect from the DEC Station to the VMS Vax, but
  29. on the Vax (after an SET HOST), following Error appears:
  30. network partner exited

  32. So I tried the loopback application on the Phase V node. Following
  33. syslog-entry was created by the system:

  35. Sep 15 16:29:32 localhost: 1628 cml: loopback: connect to mirror failed:
  36. Timed out

  38. Furthermore, for each connection attemp, this process is started and
  39. hangs in the system:
