  12. Hi all!

  14. I'm trying to communicate with a RS232 card in our Xerox 7033 telefax machine.
  15. The problem is to tell this card that I have commands for it.
  16. To make it listen to me at all, I have to turn on the RTS (request to send) modem
  17. line, and then wait for the CTS (clear to send) to go high. When all this is OK,
  18. I can start transmitting commands to the RS232 card.

  20. What I can't find from the manpages on terminal control, is how to control (check
  21. and set) the RTS and CTS modem lines.  
  22. Is there anyone out there (!) that has any experience on this, and hopefully could
  23. help me on this?
  24. (I know this is possible on Sun boxes running SunOS ).

  26. BTW, I'm running Ultrix 4.2 on a DECstation 5000/240.
