- I have a machine which is the primary for its own domain plus the domains
- of three remote campuses. Each of the remote campuses has one or two
- machines which are secondaries for their own domain.
-
- Frequently, when I use nslookup on the primary machine, the default server is
- claimed to be localhost.remote-campus-domain. Restarting named causes the
- default server to revert to localhost.local-domain.
-
- The primary is a DECstation 5000/120 running Ultrix 4.2a. The secondaries
- include a DECstation 5000/200 (also at 4.2a) and a collection of VAXstation
- 3100/4000s running VMS 5.5 or 5.5-1 and MultiNet 3.0.
-
- Can anyone suggest what might be the cause of this, or give me a strategy for
- debugging it?
-
