  17. Maybe you can NFS mount with the noac option.  Here's a sample fstab entry:

  19. /var/spool/mail@server:/var/spool/mail:rw:0:0:nfs:noac:

  21. and an automount entry:

  23. /var/spool/mail        -noac    server:/var/spool/mail
