- I have placed several calls and sent two faxes to Orchid for information
- on how to set timing values for the Farenheit 1280. They are refusing
- to release this information due to it may create a competitive advantage
- to other SVGA manafucturers. In slight defense of Orchid, it may
- be technically possible to extract the timing info by writing a simple
- DOS programs and then dumping all the S3 registers. I am not sure
- if this will work...
-
- It appears that there is a current trend with SVGA manufacturers
- to not release information on S3 related products or spinoff of
- the ibm 8514/a /vga architecture model.
-
- This is getting interesting...
-
- Still working on S3 driver for X11R5 under 386bsd.
