- I need to get a 12-port card working under SCO unix System V R3.2 Version
- 4. Here is some information about the card:
- Global View 12-port Intelligent Adapter: 80186CPU , 6 DARTUS, 12 R-232
- serial ports with DB25 connectors. JP2 is for IRQ setting (default is 10),
- JP3 is for wait-state setting (default is 0), and SW1 is for base address
- setting (default is 0x300).
-
- Following the instructions, I load the installation program to the hard
- drive, then run the program in single user mode:
- ./gviiop
-
- According to the instruction, the screen should come out an menu for
- further installation. However, I only got a line saying:
- installation stop.
-
- I tried to set IRQ as 4, base address 0x3f8, then 3 and 0x2fe. It was just
- the same. I called the company, but no one answer the phone. I know this
- is not a standard card. But if you happen to use the same kind of card.
- I'd like to know :
- (1) How do you get it working?
- (2) Is there a problem on the installation program?
- (3) What IRQ number and base address should I use?
-
- Thank you very much for any help.
