  25. Pull the source from their FTP server and check it out yourself.

  27. In any event their as-shipped binaries are seriously broken and leave "bird
  28. droppings" in the in.coming directory.  This wasn't a big deal to fix, but it 
  29. did take a little hackery (SVR4 redefined a few things that the NNTP code 
  30. expected).  It took me about two hours to get a working NNTP server.  While 
  31. I was at it I compiled the performance release of CNews and overlaid their 
  32. pre-installed stuff as well.

  34. There really wasn't that much of a reason to do the Cnews software other
  35. than to have the "latest and greatest"; their CNews release works real well
  36. out of the box.
