- Pull the source from their FTP server and check it out yourself.
-
- In any event their as-shipped binaries are seriously broken and leave "bird
- droppings" in the in.coming directory. This wasn't a big deal to fix, but it
- did take a little hackery (SVR4 redefined a few things that the NNTP code
- expected). It took me about two hours to get a working NNTP server. While
- I was at it I compiled the performance release of CNews and overlaid their
- pre-installed stuff as well.
-
- There really wasn't that much of a reason to do the Cnews software other
- than to have the "latest and greatest"; their CNews release works real well
- out of the box.
