- Well, there are a lot of tape drives that can hold more than 330MB, like
- the Wangtek 5525 (525MB). For long term though, the DAT is probably a good
- move, although you don't specify which SVR4 you have. I don't know for
- sure if all the vendors support it, but my suspiciion is they do.

- It does provide very high capacity, if that's what you're looking for, I
- imagine you'll be happy.

-
- Any SCSI DAT 'should'. Remember, not all hardware vendors are created equal :)
- Best to find one that has a money-back warranty if it doesn't work w/your
- system.

-
- Yes, as long as you don't use the (optional) data compression. Not all DAT
- drives use the same compression algorithm, so unless you know the others you
- want to swap with have the same type DAT Drive, stick with the normal
- uncompressed format.

-
- I'm not up on pricing... sorry.
-
- > 5) Will I necessarily need a SCSI interface for a DAT drive?
-
- Yes. I don't know about non-SCSI DAT drives, but I suspect finding a non-SCSI
- device driver for a DAT drive would be very difficult.
