  11. We have a ps2 model 80 with an smc8013 EP/A. We would like to use it with 
  12. Interactive Unix 3.0. I'm having problems getting Interactive to use the
  13. smc8013 EP/A ethernet card.

  15. The sun tech support people say the network driver wd0 (Western Digital 
  16. Ethernet Card Plus) that comes with the machine works with the WD microchannel
  17. cards.  I have got the wd0 network driver to work for the ISA bus, but not 
  18. MICROCHANNEL bus.

  20. Does anyone have an smc8013 EP/A or wd8003 ET/A working with the network
  21. driver that came with the system (wd0) ?

  23. The base i/o address of 800 for smc8013 EP/A is outside the acceptable 
  24. range in the kconfig menus (it wants something around 280 or 300). The sun 
  25. tech support people said to directly edit the sdevice file and put 800 in 
  26. there for the base i/o address. I did that, and the successfully recompiled
  27. the kernel, but /etc/netd says I don't have /dev/wd0.  /dev/wd0 is there, 
  28. but it's not accessible to unix.

  30. The smc8013 works with our novell network and ncsa software, so I know the
  31. hardware is ok.
