  18. I tried but it didn't work. I blamed the other side which was a new
  19. modem that had to use software handshake, and I thought that was to blame.

  21. If I start it and I 'ping' the remote side, I see activity on the modem
  22. LED's. The data is going 'out' but nohting is coming in.
