  18. Yes, MUCH better.

  20. The 1542 driver has been enhanced speed wise.  The 1742 is supported in
  21. enhanced mode.  Even the 1522 is supported (who would want to use one?).

  23. I'm running SCO UNIX 3.2.4 with a 1542 and it supports my Maynard DAT
  24. tape just great!  I backup our whole network of unix box's from my 
  25. one machine.
