  12. After installing TCSH 6.02 on a Sparc 2, I noticed that I was unable to echo
  13. control or escape characters to the window manager twm or mwm.

  15. For example:  This should change the tile bar of the xterm window.

  21. The shell is just treating the echo as text.
  22. So, I tried setty +echoctl, with no change.
