  16. I'm wondering about connecting a modem to my Sun SPARCstation 1+ (SunOS 4.1.1)
  17. via its serial port.

  19. In particular, I would get the following situation:
  20.  
  21. 1) At home, call the Sun from my PC via kermit and my modem.
  22. 2) The modem connected to the Sun replies (it has the auto-answer facility)
  23. 3) The Sun offers the login prompt
  24. 4) I login into my Sun account
  25. 5) I start a program (or a shell-script) such that:
  26.  a) I can hang up at home
  27.  b) In a few seconds, the Sun dials my home phone number
  28.  c) My PC replies to the incoming call and gets a login prompt by the Sun.
  29.  
  30. Is this procedure possible?
  31. I think so, but I cannot figure out which setup to perform on my Sun and which
  32. software (Public Domain...) I must use.

  34. Any solution is welcome, even partial.
