  10. I am using Esix SVR4.0.4 and I am trying to set up my printer with nroff.
  11. I managed to find /usr/ucblib/doctools/nterm/tab.* and have created an
  12. entry for my printer but I can't find any documentation on the syntax
  13. for this file.  I tracked down all the SEE ALSOs in the nroff and troff
  14. man pages but no luck.  Anyone know where I can find this information?

  16. I managed to figure out some of the syntax by testing and guesswork
  17. but I can't seem to output characters with the high bit set.  I have
  18. tried putting the actual character (0xb3 in this case) as well as the
  19. octal escape version ("\263")  but no luck.  It just outputs a space.
  20. I am testing with "nroff -Tkx | hd" so I am positive that it is nroff
  21. which is the problem and not the other links in the chain such as
  22. printers, drivers etc.

  24. I am using "Unix Text Processing" by Dale Dougherty and Tim O'Reilly
  25. but there is no mention of any of this.  Is this a reasonable book
  26. on the subject?
