- Hi,
- i am trying to read a tar tape that was created w/ the
- compress option, but one of the blocks is corrupt. When i try to
- extract the tape the corrupt input causes compress to barf and the tar
- extraction stops.
- i have determined at which block the corruption occurs by
- using "dd" and "uncompress". Is there anyway i can remove the bad
- block and splice the file together?
- Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. i'm sort of
- desperate.
-
- Thanks,
- doug
