- It it vendor dependent. I know there is least one vendor that
- is primarily BSD based that support multi-processor systems (DEC).
- I don't know if Sun considers itself more BSD or System V based
- these days, but they also multi-processor systems. I'm sure there
- are many more.

- For DEC, the ULTRIX operating system supports most of the multi-processor
- VAX systems and the DECsystem 5800. The current version is V4.3. I think
- the MP VAX systems that it doesn't support is the VAX 6000-600 family
- and the new VAX 7000 and VAX 10000 family. Some level of multi-processor
- support has been in ULTRIX since about V2.2 for the early dual processor
- VAX systems. This early supported was asymmetric, allowing a master and
- slaves. In V4 the support became symmetric, but some device drivers
- still have an affinity for the boot CPU.
