- This question has to do with Unix, generally:
-
- I'm curious about the new technology/application of parallel processing.
- I've been told that there is a board one can purchase for the IBM-compat
- platform (called CMOS?) which will fascilitate this.
-
- I'd like to know the logistics of these boards, and as well do you need
- to have a special version of Unix in order to run it? Or any software
- for that matter. Say if I were to have a 486 (which is fast enough)
- and wanted to buy such a board... how many processors would it support,
- and what would I need to do to the software and machine to make things
- work?
-
- Thank you.
-
- (kindly respond via email, my site does not get fed the necessary groups)
