  15. I'm having a problem with an old file and I'm hoping I can
  16. get some help via the newsgroups...
  17. A while back (bout a year or so).  I tarred and compressed
  18. a file on the Unix system.  I then used kermit to save it
  19. to a 3.5 floppy.  The file size on the floppy is about
  20. 350k.  My problem is that I cannot uncompress the file
  21. anymore.  I uploaded it to Unix but the uncompress always
  22. fails...  I think that I MIGHT have accidently saved it
  23. in ascii format (sigh) but I'm not sure...  Does anyone
  24. know of how I can salvage my files?
