I am breaking net etiquette by not reading this group for a while before posting,
many apologies if this post is not good form.

I would like to hear from people using the CRAY-YMP EL.   Reply by e-mail if you prefer.
Specific points I would like to hear about include:

    (*) the EL's usefulness for seismic processing where fast memory and data
        transfer rates are important; we typically process lots of small chunks
    of data
    (*) the EL is serviced (in our area) by DEC, does any one have
        any comments good or bad about DEC service of CRAY hardware?
    (*) how well does it fit into a NIS domain as either a client to a
        SUN master server or as a master with SUN clients?
    (*) has anyone experienced problems porting code from the Convex to the CRAY?
    (*) has anyone switched from a Convex to the EL?  Would you buy CRAY again if
        you could do it over?

Any comments are welcome!
