  13. Yes, correct, the same RAM can be aliased as arbitrarily many segments.  A lot
  14. of Unixes do protect the text from being scribbled on, however, in which case
  15. a kernel extension (but a pretty trivial one, like I said) would be needed.  I
  16. dunno how 386BSD is on this, I haven't studied the kernel extensively.
