- There is a new kernel called "starlan". This is a dist.fs for AT&T and
- (hopefully) HP Vectra machines. It has the >8M fix and the StarLAN card
- driver posted here, but most important for you, it has more lenient CMOS
- memory calculation routines (these are in the patch kit as well) that will
- allow a kernel to boot and run correctly with weird CMOS memory setting (like
- yours) and also with 640K or less of memory (though you can't run much).

- very interested in how it will perform on a real Vectra *without* changing
- the CMOS setup.
