  12.     I have fixed all reported problems (so far) in the patchkit.  The
  13. new version is alpha2 (0.1.1 for patches, 0.1 for mkpatch)

  15.     For those of you currently using the patchkit, you need the new
  16. version.  Explataion follows:

  24.     This is the updated patch kit for patch 00001-00019.  If you have
  25. not downloaded the previous version, ignore this file and simply follow
  26. the instructions in the file "patchkit-0.1.README".
  27.  
  28.     If you have downloaded the previous version of the patchkit, you
  29. may have noticed problems with patches 00010, 00014 and 00016.  You may
  30. also have notices that failure to install was not correctly caught (A
  31. problem with the "patches" program itself).
  32.  
  33.     If you have used the previous patch kit, the following procedure
  34. will allow you to update to the most recent version:
  35.  
  36. 1.    cd /patch/bin
  37. 2.    run patches
  38. 3.    deinstall patches 00010, 00014 and 00016
  39. 4.    cd ../ready
  40. 5.    rm -rf patch00010 patch00014 patch00016
  41. 6.    cd /tmp
  42. 7.    get the new tar file "patchkit-0.1.tar"
  43. 8.    tar xvf patchkit-0.1.tar
  44. 9.    cd patch/inbound
  45. 10.    mv patch00010.tar.Z patch00014.tar.Z patch00016.tar.Z /patch/inbound
  46. 11.    cd ../bin
  47. 12.    mv patches /patch/bin
  48. 13.    cd ../..
  49. 14.    rm -rf patch
  50. 15.    cd /patch/bin
  51. 16.    run patches
  52. 17.    install patches 00010, 00014 and 00016
  53.  
  54. You are now at the most recent alpha2-release.
