- I have a 386 with binnary installed from disks. It has an SMC ether
- card that is recognised as we0. everything was working nicely till I
- tried to set up the network on it. I uncomented the we0 line in
- /etc/netstart and rebooted. the console is flooded with
-
- /386bsd: reject65340 messages. The number is mostly 65340 but is some
- times 65342, 65344, 65366. if I type
-
- ifconfig we0 down
- the messages stop but this doesn't help to get the network started. Is
- there something I am missing (probably so) and what is it.
-
- thanks in advance.
