- I have a Toshiba 3100 CD-ROM drive working fine on my system (with
- Adaptec 1542B). Mounting CD-ROMs took a little doing the first time,
- since there were some minor errors in the manual page. I think I still
- have to issue the mount command twice, the first bombs with some sort
- of read error. After that, I can read the file system fine.
-
- Now if I can just get PCNFS to work so I can access the CD-ROM drive
- on the 386BSD machine from my DOS machine, I'll be quite happy.
- (There's an awful lot of software on CD-ROM that runs only under DOS,
- but I don't want to buy another SCSI CD-ROM drive just yet.)
-
- Unfortunately I get "permission denied" errors when I try to mount
- *any* 386BSD filesystem on my DOS machine using PCNFS, even when I
- have the /etc/exports file set up properly (and can mount them fine
- from a Sparcstation, and yes, I have PCNFSD running on the 386BSD
- machine, and no, I'm not typing the wrong password.)
