- same here. I tried to compile the kernel for 2 drives, and X
- but I kept getting compile errors. I used the patch.tar.Z and
- that seemed to have most of the errors.
-
- My system configuration
-
- 386-40 w/387-40
- Tseng et4000 graphics card. (1meg)
- 4 serial 2 printer ports
- Microsoft, or Mouse Systems Serial Mouse.
- 2 IDE hard Drives 130, 20 meg
- 4meg ram.
- EMC 1024x768 monitor.
-
- I would probably be able to compile things easier if there were docs
- for people who were not gurus. I've been using UNIX and X for a year
- now and would like to have UNIX at home so that I can start to learn
- more without the restrictions at school.
-
-
- I plan to usr the other 20 megs as swap space since I don't have much
- ram.
-
- Also when I tried to run X the system stopped. No messages, no nothing.
- Not even a screen mode change.
