  31. I have successfully (as far as I know) installed Word 5.0, Excel 4.0 and
  32. Canvas 3.0 on my Quadra 950. Right now, that box on repair, but I am fairly
  33. sure this is the way I had to work it out:

  37. Had to be installed by root. Refuses to be installed in the context of
  38. a user lacking Unix root access.  I have to log in as root to use it,
  39. but OK, that's me. Microsoft Sweden gave me that tip. Program works OK.

  50. As I remember it without having the computer at hand, I sprinkled all the 
  51. non-transient System folders with various Preferences from these programs
  52. "just in case".
