- My connection is from a Telebit T2500 to a Netblazer running Worldblazers.
- Since the T2500 doesn't do V32.BIS, the best I can manage is a LAP/M
- connection at 9600 baud. Interactive performance is not too bad, even
- running a raw-mode interface like emacs. There is a slight delay, but
- nothing objectionable. Batch response (ftp'ing a couple of MB of stuff)
- was pretty respectable too, averaging about 1.7KB/S for a text file
- (FAQ.aux) and about 1KB/S for a binary file (compressed tcsh man pages)
- with compression enabled. Oh yeah, if you want compression, make sure
- you ask for it (note the +c in my slipup script). I originally went with
- the defaults (-c and +e) which means don't enable compression unless the
- other end sends compressed stuff. Well, apparently the 'Blazer at the other
- end was doing the same Alphonse-Gaston act!
